Some of the first things we absorbed into our lunar ‘memory sponges’ were the basic habits our families instilled in us. Those simple repetitive actions have helped to keep us alive and healthy ever since. They’re so fundamental that we tend to take them for granted, which is kind of the point. But once in a while they deserve recognition!
