For the past two months we’ve been processing and coming to terms with revelations of matters previously hidden. There is now enough light on them for us to see what actions they require. We can take real steps toward improvement now if we are willing, and many of us are ready to take them.
TRANSITING MARS ENTERING PISCES

Mars is the planet of fighting power, and the classical ruler of Aries. Mars pushes the energy to fight for our needs and pursue our desires. But from now until the end of April, what Mars pushes for most is escape from the need to fight.
It’s not that we don’t need or want anything. It’s just that our feelings are raw and our sensitivities acute. Whether our reluctance be due to exhaustion from struggles or illness, embarrassment from misplaced anger and hostility, or just general bewilderment and disorientation, the last thing we want now is an open fight. We just want to lick our wounds and heal.
Mars in Pisces typically offers a temptation to escape unwanted calls to action by feigning victimhood and blaming others for one’s inaction. For some that’s a habit. But what if it’s clear that nearly everyone is both a real victim and a real enabler of a crime? That leaves mostly ourselves to blame for an unhappy situation.
So what to do? First, lose any pettiness and thoughtless urges to “other” our neighbors. Wallow in remorse and guilt? Only long enough to take responsibility for our part in wrongdoing and stop contributing to the problems.
We still have problems that won’t go away by themselves. Some of us may want only to hide from them now, but many will want to find and implement peaceful, constructive solutions, including accountability where it’s truly due. With the wind out of the sails of our collective ‘warships’, we can find the energy we need to heal damage and envision a peaceful future.

This is an aspect of harnessed power. Angry or hostile energy encounters hard reality, and the only way forward is through it. Why waste our energy when we can put it to work? And there is certainly work to be done. Now we have extra discipline and endurance to get business and practical tasks done. Delays now are probably fortunate, and we can accept them with patience.

As if to balance the stoic Mars-Saturn conjunction, which prompted us to put uncomfortable energies to work, this more powerful conjunction ramps up optimism to heights of creative excitement! Oh my gosh, what can’t we do! We may be a little bit afraid, but now we just have to take some risks on things we never thought we’d try, experimenting and doing them our own way. Our enthusiasms are for our individual efforts; we can’t — and shouldn’t — care what other people think of them. This can be a wonderful time for growth and creativity, as long as our risks aren’t foolhardy.
